recently im liking one of the character VERY MUCH. she is Elain, a nurse in a clinic that previously had been in love with the playboy-doctor in the clinic, Bowie. she has been always head over the toes for Bowie and do everything he wants while taking her for granted because she isn't as pretty as other girls that he normally chased after.
but in one episode recently, Elain suspected herself having breast cancer and subsequently thought over what she had done in her life. she realized that she hasn't treat herself well, and so decided to enjoy herself and visited a bar.
at the end of the episode, her uncle and Bowie (who are drinking buddies) confronted her while she was in a date- about it and she reveals that the check up result was negative. Bowie who was relieved immediately asked her to celebrate over a meal but she firmly rejected him and said that she realized her silliness and decided to appreciate herself more- and continue her date with the lawyer.

the following episodes talk about Bowie who desperately try to win Elain attention again to which he failed again and again. but it is clear to everyone that he is doing it out of his ego of losing an-ever-flowing-attention from an admirer.
i love how Elain has come to realize that she deserved to be loved and not to fall for such a cheap playboy guy again =)
