miss no good

currently i'm watching Miss no Good. (what a funny name) lead by wilbur pan and rainie yang. i had never like her, but this drama is plain funny. plain funny. her acting is just funny. and the way they shoot, the angle, the editing, it's very comical.

but the story is just simple. and the title is just...misleading in my opinion. there's nothing bad about the girl. the leading character is a good girl.

anyway. i never like rainie yang because i feel her acting in previos drama feels fake. she is a great singer, but the acting...something just doesn't feels right. but here in this drama it is good.

good until i realize why it looks familiar. if you ever watched nodame cantabile, then you can see how much this drama inspired by nodame. highly inspired i will say.

rainie acting is totally a 95% copied from the megumi noda. from the way she hunch her back, the way she twist her lips. and the weird way she talk - 'but but but..'

now it is not so enjoyable anymore. not recommended for you to view unless you are rainie fans. but anyway..wilbur is really good looking. and although he made alot of NGs, but his acting is good, much better than the other guy, dean fujioka.

rainbow

sudah gelap habis terbitlah terang. sudah hujan habis muncul pelangi :) it had been ages since in saw a rainbow! saw this on the bus to my relative house. actually there's double rainbows, but my camera didn't catch it well. what a beautiful colors.

love grows

found this happy song from friend's friend blog :)

Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes) - Edison Lighthouse

She ain't got no money Her clothes are kinda funny Her hair is kinda wild and free

Oh, but Love grows where my Rosemary goes And nobody knows like me

She talks kinda lazy And people say she she's crazy And her life's a mystery

Oh, but Love grows where my Rosemary goes And nobody knows like me

There's something about her hand holding mine It's a feeling that's fine And I just gotta say She's really got a magical spell And it's working so well That I can't get away

I'm a lucky fella And I've just got to tell her That I love her endlessly

Because Love grows where my Rosemary goes And nobody knows like me

There's something about her hand holding mine It's a feeling that's fine And I just gotta say She's really got a magical spell And it's working so well That I can't get away

I'm a lucky fella And I've just got to tell her That I love her endlessly Because Love grows where my Rosemary goes And nobody knows like me

Fadeout: It keeps growing every place she's been And nobody knows like me If you've met her, you'll never forget her And nobody knows like me La la la- believe it when you've seen it Nobody knows like me

ps: i love the repeat button!
ps: anybody can teach me to put music into this page so each time people read my blog is accompanied by music?

Bangkok nov 2008

yaya, finally i had uploaded my bangkok trip pics on my flickr

the reason i upload it there... because it can upload up to 6-7 images once :)

Bangkok is a interesting place, feel very much like Indonesia. the unevenness.. the untidiness.. the chaos.

and the food. generally in my tongue it is too sweet. everything is sweet. including pork ball! @_@ and i saw the bbq banana seems so unique but im darn sure it will be eaten with thick sweet sauce so i dont dare to try ^^; next time will..next time will...

we arrived at the day of Loy krathong festival. loy (to float) krathong (flower raft) it was very happening event centered on the chao praya river. the idea of floating away the flowers means to let go all grudges, bad lucks, ect, so that one can start a fresh. mine is made from bread so that the fishes in the river can get extra treat :)

i was very disappointed didn't get into grand palace. my fault for not knowing when is the closing time. (it closed at 3!) and also i didn't get to wat arun-the temple of the dawn. and! i had been looking forward to eat deep fried insects- but , tak ada bulat.. *mou yun* hahahaha...too bad...

im super happy get to take picture with very- thai mr.mcd :) 'sawadeeka' *hallo in thai*. everytime i pay things at cashier they will say thank you in thai and give that hand pose. special hor!

i went to the giant budha temple too. called wat pho. something unexplainable happen. must be a good omen :) on the temple itself there's a row of metal bowls aligning along the wall to the exit. it's the coins donation. i buy a bowl of coins and then throw a coin into each metal bowls. on each coin i put a wish. till the end, my coins finished before i reached the end. my friend asked whether i kept one or not. he said he took one. that had never crossed my mind.

that night when i count my money, i found one of that coin in my wallet. it's a small coin equal to malaysia 1 cent size. it seems that thai have also stop using that small coins.

the next morning i asked my friend whether his small coins is still with him or not. then he showed me his coin taken from inside his wallet. i asked how many coin did he take. he said ONLY one.

ah. about cost. this 5 days 4 nights trip costs:

bus to KL SGD 35
Air asia KL-thai round trip MYR 500
Bus back to SG MYR 45
backpacker hostel deposit MYR 15
thai baht i bought from singapore is THB 7500
thai baht i exchange there SGD 50

anyway-with the ever changing exhange rate, the total that i spent was around SGD 650. it could be cheaper if we get the air ticket much earlier. the ticket was purchased 2 weeks before departure.

conclusion: i will visit bangkok again, i will not spend a cent on clothes again till jan 2009, i will always remember to do research properly including the closing time of the tourist attraction places. i will remember to bring converter, and the most important is whom you go with. walking with a great friend will still be enjoyable even if the destination sucks. and vice versa.

thai prawn is JUST GREAT! and cheap! *too bad kai didn't get to eat it*

berrylite round 1

these are the 1st round. the one i post previously were never shown to the client :( nvrmind! i like it so i dont mind :D
oh ya, i went to bangkok 2 weeks ago. and 2 days after our return there was a bomb attack at goverment building. and today the airport is closed.

what a luck that none of it happened during our stay. i hope everyone there will bee okay.

and yah..i owe lots of pics post! :D hee-hee-hee...

i want to go there again! bangkok! when i am 25!

Mr.G

i am not chinese educated background, and in Indo we all using our indo name. so i only have friends with chinese name when i moved to Malaysia 4 years ago.

until now i cant differentiate girl or guy name from reading the chinese pin yin.

so far the most unique chinese name is the one i get from my boss. one day he called in and asked me to contact a person through email. so he spell it for me.

'gay, underscore, see, underscore, peng, dot, - - - -'

'gay?!'

'yah, gay. G.A.Y. germany, america, yunani'

'HAH?! serious ar?! gay?!'

'yah, gay, gay lou geh gay loh.'

'then how should i address him?!'

'mr.gay lo!' then he chuckled.

at the end i didnt have enough courage to address him that way so i just called him 'Mr. G'

hahaha swt...what a surename ^^ though i am dying to know how he will address himself, i never received a reply from him. he called in instead of email.

Muhibbah travel agency

today is my luckiest day!

i am always lucky in one and another way, but today, definitely worth mentioned!

(i dont care even if i have tons of things to do today, i need to blog this now!)

okay...so this morning i go buy ticket to hometown for chinese new year. 24th Jan and return 4th Feb.

it was at Muhibbah travel&tours (www.muhibbahtravel.com)

the taxi drop me somewhere...confusing...so i had to call to ask for direction to the travel...then by that time i was damn late to the office dy...so rush rush rush...

Thx God, the lady who was serving me said the price is SGD 670 which is still the same compare to the one i asked yesterday in the phone. then when i said i want to proceed with payment, and i show her my atm card (to pay by Nets- it's the auto debit system which is widely used in Singapore which made your purchase easier and easier to drain your money - you can even use it in taxi. almost all ATM card have Nets service, so instead of flashing credit card, you can flash you atm ^^ )

'sorry we dont have nets here'

i cant belief it! my expression somehow made her answer 'nearest DBS atm is at keypoint building' (DBS is my bank, and keypoint building is at the...opposite road...somewhere...far...) all i think of is 'no! i couldn't give up now!' so i drag my feet and climb the pedestarian bridge's stairSSS, walk way up to the keypoint building, round and round at the inside to look for ATM, give up and walk out to buy some soya milk, and finally saw the ATM sign. it was at the outside actually!

and i spent around 5 min looking for my atm card inside my bag-bcoz i pulled it out at the travel agency and forgot to put back at the proper place-and finally i withdraw the money, walk back to the travel agency, smelled a nice bak kut teh smell (HEY! i found a klang bak kut teh stall! what a morning!) and when i walk in to the office, the 1st word she told me was,

'miss Peggy, sorry, '

i thought 'SSHIT, what happened?! are you goin to tell me no more sit or...?increase price?'

then...what a Luck!

'i found a promotion ticket, which is 2 weeks ticket. because i see your travel period is no more than 14 days. and the price is 540. the set back is when you change the date you will have to pay penalty 75. but still, 540+75 = 615 is still cheaper than 670. so?'

OMG~ i Love You so much! if it is not because they dont accept nets, i wouldn't have walk all the way to withdraw cash, but the reward is so great - a -130 cheaper ticket!

Thanks God! im so Lucky and again, things happened for good reasons :D

*extra info: i am taking SILKAIR, and this morning the lady told me that SILKAIR no longer having 1 or 2 weeks ticket except for promotion. so the ticket period is 1 month, 6 month, and 1 year. they have 20 kg baggage allowance and no extra charge for changing date.

yay~ my office is giving a week off for cny :D

anyway, actually yesterday i went directly to the SILKAIR office, which is at keypoint building.(yesteday was a long journey too, get lost by bus.. took mrt.. walk a long distant.. get lost in the building..) only to be served by a cold guy telling me, 'why are you coming here to get the ticket? it's more expensive here than internet.' then i asked, how much is the different, then after he calculate everything, it was 850! *intenet was only 650!*

i told him, i dont have credit card that's why i come all the way to their main office. so he said, please contact our appointed agents, it is stated at the brochure. you will get a cheaper price from them.

(so funny to think that main office selling much more expensive than agents!)

so yesterday after i was in the office back from there i called the top 5 on the list and the cheapest price offered was 673. then my colleague and friend mentioned this Muhibbah and so i called and they offered 670 only.

the reality i had today is far more better! so i highly recommend MUHIBBAH travel agency, (T) 6296 0026. the girl who served me today named Siti :)
