baking trial: cookies

15th july, first batch. first time ever decided to try baking some cookies! despite lacking of baking powder, i decided not to wait any longer and..just do it~

second batch, remembered that i bought cheedar cheese, so i add it on top of the dough. my maid remind me to switch the temperature lower for the cheese could get burnt easily. looks better but in few days all turns pretty much oily. aiks.

2nd try, on 19th july. lovely. light and crisp. but somehow it turn out to be so easily burnt that i burnt almost a quarter of the it. hmnnn~ need to improve on shape wise.

3rd try, on 1st aug. total disaster. not only that the choco taste from meses is not good at all (it's not showing other than in color wise) and perhaps i do not know a proper way to treat the raisin, it was sour and doesnt match at all. and when it cool down it harden like a solid rock T.T i think it is the lack of baking powder portion. oh, i use a small cup to make the round shapes. and it stay hard even after few days. aiks.

they said, practice makes perfect.

cookies recipe all fished out from here

Try this for choco cookies~ the grated chocolate bar gives extra choco taste :D My mom use this recipe~

2 cups butter
4 cups flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 cups granulated sugar
2 cups brown sugar
5 cups blended oatmeal (measure oatmeal &
blend in blender
to a fine powder)
24 oz. chocolate chips
1 tsp. salt
18 oz. Cadbury bar (grated)
4 eggs
2 tsp. baking powder
3 cups chopped nuts (your choice)
2 tsp. vanilla

cream the butter and both sugars. Add eggs and
vanilla; mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt,
baking powder, and soda. Add chocolate chips,
Cadbury bar and nuts. Roll into balls and place
two inches apart on a cookie sheet.. bake for 10
minutes at 375 degrees. Makes 122 cookies..
