law-in-mom

my senior told me something very scary just now. it's real life experience and chill my bone. errm- i mean, it's terrifiying to think let alone experience it!!

she off yesterday to arrange for the banquet and stuffs for her wedding. and so we casually asked, 'how's your trip? booked the tables and stuffs?' and she said, it was an unfortunate, unforgettable bad trip.

'you know what she (the soon-to-be-mother in law) said to me? she said i steal her son away from her'

so of course we (my senior) said it's just a joke, while my boss said some lady will feel that way, it's normal.

'no, she was serious. we was at a very serious discussion and she spilled it out.'

later on i asked, how did she reply her. she said she cried at the spot.

'she even talked again about how her son, -her only son that manage to finished the study- they hv few other siblings- on the happy-graduation day, busy sticking around me and my mom. she made it sounds that her son only attend to my mom and i. it's true that he picked me up that day from my home, but i cant remember whether he sticked around me for that long. furthermore, that was almost 7 years ago! can you belief that? can you belief that she brought it up again?'

i actually had thought about it before, listening to an ex-housemate story bout her boyfriend's family i hope things will get better for my senior anyway, hopefully somewhere in the future with the arrival of new little family member perhaps?

and i hope all of you girls, wont encounter such a thing.
and shall it be unavoidable, i hope your PR skills (or maybe cooking skills) will pull you through...

That's why must work on PR skills, girls~ Girls should get into good relation with their in-laws first before proposing the deal to barter away their offspring. Never to think it is okay to delay the relationship building stage. It is IMPORTANT. Nonetheless, it applies to the guys as well.

My personal method is... from time to time, treat the in-laws with respect and care as if treating your own parents. It is a blessing to gain another pair of parents. And after a period time, eventually they'll accept you willingly and you can attain their son/daughter with official approval from them. XD
