and that's my name

recently i chat with one friend, who out of nowhere suddenly asked me what's my chinese name.

i told him the pin yin, but no quite sure myself so i try to type it out in online dictionary.

which then only i found out what the meaning of my name is. erm, kinda direct translation of each word, but i like it ^^

for my family, we are using the same middle name for each batch. my chinese name is

lín woods; forest

jiān double; twice; simultaneous; holding two or more (official) posts at the same time

pèi copious; abundant

which means i will never run out of wood? hahahaha~ well well thanks to this friend, it actually never crossed my mind to check it out. i dont quite think my english name is special. then my friend said, "well you are the only peggy i know. but somehow it remind me of pegasus."

=.= what....hahaha anyway thanks to pa and ma, my name is not something you can easily found at the street ;p

The power of 1st impression?

i was chatting with my girlfriend yesterday, then she asked me whether i had found myself a boyfriend or not. " im not good at it." i told her.

then i revealed to her what happened the day before. there's boss' friends who came to borrow books& materials from us. boss asked me to assist them. it was 2 girls and a guy. a tall and rather good looking one. my job was to help them find things that they want in our messy library. once done, i returned to my table.

it was after lunch around 3 and i was sitting facing my laptop with headset on, listening to inuyasha. i set it to a volume that blocked out other noise. because that was around the time i dozed off...

and then somebody tapped my table, "hey" and then only i realized that my mind shut down again without notice. and to my horror, it was that guy who was standing beside my table and asked where to get the catalogue for a carpet. so i hurried to the back and pretending that i know here to find the thing he wants coz... the library is really a mess!

OMG. couldn't i find another time to dozed off or for him to came over to my table? how am i suppose to make a better impression after that??

then my girlfriend said," dont worry, then you must have left a strong impression on him." then she told me how she and her boyfriend started talking to each other was after she fell down from the staircase. he laughed at her to be accurate, and then things developed from there.

aaaahhhhh....... thanks dear for lifting up my mood and changing my view about the 'incident'. well, forget about that guy. for i had been reminded how GOOD it is to have her as a friend.

xoxoxo, you know who you are ;D

Harry potter 7th book

yeah, last weekend i just finished Harry Potter and the deathly hallow~ !! kinda late, i know. but only recently i get to lay my hand on it~

found it at San bookstore, i was so amazed by the system. you can buy or borrow the book. the Harry Potter i paid for is $19.50, if i didn't return it within the borrow period then the book is mine. if i decided don't want to keep it, then they will return $11.00. wow. to run this type of bookstore is much less headache. you don't need to keep deposit, people's name, have to keep track, headache when the borrower didn't return the book, ect~

and the book is already nicely wrapped in transparent plastic by them! *ahhh i want to keep it actually~

anyway i had been dreaming to buy the whole set harry potter (in hardcover that have the box) and finally i found it at times, for $315!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! T.T out of reach. titik.

it doesn't worth the price... i found last harry potter in hardcover for only $19.90 at popular. a complete one shouldn't cost more than $200... geez~ i shall wait until i have my own home to get it then :D

now i feel the rush to read again from the 1st book~ i wanted to read again how Harry started his journey!! *gonna need to borrow from san-bookstore i think...

btw i think this bookstore actually made more money when ppl decided to return the book. see, it cost me $8.5 to borrow a novel. man, it's expensive! but the selling price is the same with popular. how they made money if everyone just buy and nvr return it?

btw~ the funny thing is, last Monday i saw a girl wearing harry potter glasses on mrt ^o^ then when i came into office, guest what? my boss also wearing harry potter glasses! *but then he said it is not black ^^; and it's his 15 years glasses. his current one break and after lunch he picked the new one up~ funny funny ^o^

lately

i had forgotten to give thanks lately, my bad :(

Thanks God for my job, my bosses, my colleagues, my house owner, and those contractors, suppliers i work with.

being a junior i still blur blur for many things, and Thanks God there's never people come and scold or shout at me saying, 'how come you donno ar?!'

Thanks God all had been very patient and polite, esp. those contractors, they didn't get mad when i say 'erm, i'm not sure..' they will mostly said, 'you check with your boss 1st'

Thanks God my colleagues are nice, they don't throw stuffs to me to do, they aren't arrogant when i ask stuffs, and even though we didn't really talk much, they are good people *my instinct say so~

Thanks God for my home too. my lady owner is a nice person and they keep the house clean. the son is a nice kid too. there's once i was moping the floor and he volunteering to help me saying, 'wo bu hao yi shi'

erm erm anyway lately i just dont like it when he walks he will made 'bum bum' sound like bass sound. he is not even fat, i donno why he walks with the back of the foot instead of toe landing 1st. so there's heavy sound when he walks =.= erm erm i hope... he wont do it that much... *if not im gonna hate him everytime he walks =.= swt....

Thanks God, everything had been great. i just forget to say thank you. so sorry ya~
