i had a nice and fulfilling weekend. done with my freelance works, clean up my ultra messy room, and also went for swimming :)
you know! i wanted it so badly that i actually dreamed about going to a super nice beach, then went to find changing room in a super huge building that fills with rooms, and i couldn't find any, and i can only look through the window and saw the blue sky turns grey and then black with storm and heavy rain.
so much for a alarm-type-of-dream! and i woke up feeling ultra fresh, way before my alarm clock, grab my bag and went out to catch my bus. not forget to mention the great blue sky above my head greeting good morning to me.
had a nice pig organ soup for breakfast after swimming for 1 hour, and walk back home from jalan besar swimming complex. felt totally had redeemed my sin for missing 3 classes of aikido.
currently watching Buzzer Beat starring yamapi :)
geez, japanese drama totally rocks.
they are so consistently putting max. 11 episodes per drama, and yet in these short 11 episodes i always get emotional towards the end.
probably this one does hit me because somehow they are talking about young adult struggling to make their -seems-far-fetch-dreams (as pro basket player and violinist) to come true.
and how they portray the link of destiny between the main characters and also how they cheering for each other.
that kind of love that helps you to grow into a stronger person.
*doki*doki*doki*
maybe the idea of randomly bumping into a handsome tall charming stranger and randomly be friend with and randomly falling in love with is not that random. that's what they called 'destiny' right? but it sure requires lots of courage and hospitality to starts that link. man... how courageous the main lady is! what a brave charming character!
so glad to be reminded that I am living in year 2010. the idea that 'only guy can pursue the girl' is fading and we all get a more equal chances to pursue our own happiness.

shu shu vs. jiu jiu
there's always new things to learn and old things to be reminded everyday.
for me today, above anything else, i will always remember the proper use of shu shu and jiu jiu.
for me today, above anything else, i will always remember the proper use of shu shu and jiu jiu.
叔叔
shū shu (informal) father's younger brother; uncle
舅舅
jiù jiu (informal) mother's brother; maternal uncle
shū shu (informal) father's younger brother; uncle
舅舅
jiù jiu (informal) mother's brother; maternal uncle
just now during a phone conversation with my aunt, i mentioned that my cousin (geez, i even failed to say that word in mandarin, what's the mandarin for cousin anyway??) is coming to singapore to find work. and then i said, 'shu shu de er zi' = shu shu's son.
and aunt got confused, she asked which one of my uncle's son. (btw, she is my dad's god-sister)
when i explain it's mom's bro's son, then she corrected me.
'bu shi shu shu, dan shi jiu jiu' = 'not shu shu, but jiu jiu'
ah...bodohnya! it's the basic of the basic and i have difficulty recalling it! probably because i seldom use these words in mandarin and our family call uncle from mom side 'ku' (i think is hokkian form) and call uncle from dad side 'acik' (oh search me, i have no single idea what language is that, i suppose is another form of hokkian?)
anyway, it is nice to be reminded again these simple little thing that i always miss out.
my dad's godsister is such a cool person! you know i pray hard that my future mother in law is as cool and funny and witty and gentle and good in cooking and patient in teaching just like her!

warning: rant type of post
heylo! 14 days without facebook.
im surviving well.
but lately ebuddy update their service, and i can no longer log in to msn.
somehow miss few friends.
and at office, it was just not a pleasant atmosphere.
my senior needs desperately anger management course, what a bitch!
oh well, i had simply decided that i dont need to bend down to fit into her mood, so we had not talk for few weeks by now, except when it is necessary.
*poison darts strike home*
thanks to the wisdom words book, i read it this morning and it gave me a very important teaching from Buddha. so today i basically had escaped any unnecessary mind-bitching activity.
ironically, it was a present from her.
*neutralizing the poison and removing darts*
i am dead tired now. and felt rather lonely. lots of works and dateline chasing after my heels.
still, doesn't stop me from watching yamapi... hehehehheheh!

each one has to find his peace from within.
and peace to be real must be unaffected by outside circumtances
